Toyota Camry Launch [September 2002]
CD-ROM
Crossroads worked with HotHouse Interactive
to construct the Toyota Camry Launch [2002] CD-ROM. The CD-ROM was developed
to a very tight and aggressive time scale and delivered in two phases:
-
Dealer Launch version (pre-announcement to
dealer network)
-
Consumer Launch Version (general consumer
announcement - 300,000 CD-ROMs)
Developed in Macromedia Director features of the CD-ROM are:
-
the CD-ROM content screen is a 3 layered
interface, with a sliding background, Camry imagery, and floating islands
(with rollover descriptors) that link to the CD-ROM content (there are 6
categories of content that can be selected via a filter menu - this
controls the availability of the floating islands on the interface)
-
there are 23 segments of MPEG4 video -
approx. 40 mins (street voxpops, vehicle testing, technical interviews, TVC's, music video
sequences, and manufacturing)
-
two QTVR's give 360O views of
both the interior and exterior of the vehicle
-
15 Macromedia Flash sequences with
voiceover, covering various facets of the vehicles features, accessories,
design, Toyota finance, fleet and pricing facilities.
-
links to the Toyota website are
also contained within the mainstream content, for access to configuring, pricing,
financing, etc. directly from the Toyota website
-
the CD-ROM was developed as an audio/data
hybrid and also contains 5 tracks of audio for conventional audio CD
players
